Adjustments...FIVE reasons why

Going from working, schooling, girl scouting and everything else in between to nothing...has been an adjustment.  What's cracking me up the most about the whole situation is CAT-5's hilarious commentary.  She is of course known for being funny, observant and opinionated...who knows where she gets that from.

My top favorite comments from Phoebe MAE...

1.  WHAT are you going to do today (after my answer) No like what are you going to do after that...

2.  Dad, do you have ladies in the office, fire one and give mom a job.

3.  What you need to do is cook and clean while me and dad are GONE ALL DAY!

4.  (Getting in the car at pick up) Mom, WHY is your hair soaking wet?

5.  No like, I mean, like what ARE you doing all day...

What can I say...

The GOAL

There are days when this life just becomes over whelming.

When dropping my kid off at the neighbors, with her toothbrush, in the morning just so I can be at work a few minutes early makes me want to cry.

When trying to be mom at home and clap out and the park and teacher conferences and trying to be a great student at school and field work and trying to be an adult at work, and the gynecologist doctor, and some sort of a wife becomes completely absurd.

When dumping out the same basket of clean clothes on my bed for the 15th day in a row to find my kid a clean outfit makes me want to throw it all out the window.

When watching my husband fall asleep at 9:00 on the couch because he is just totally worn out from working 12 hours a day six days a week before we have even had a chance to really speak makes me want to throw a fit.

When my chest feels so heavy at night because the weight of life is so very real.

When I would rather scratch my eyeballs out than figure out how exactly I am going to fit in forty hours of work in seven days this week.

When I have an emotional breakdown because my mountain dew is not only diet but also caffeine free! {I mean REALLY what is the point}

When I realize that I am asking my six year old for fashion advice.

When I seriously contemplated downloading a Taylor Swift song

When life just straight up brings you to your knees, there really is only one thing that makes it all worth it in the end.

These people, my little family that we have worked so hard for.

Knowing that the end is near and the time I will have to spend with them will be priceless.

This little guy, knowing that I will soon have time to travel to wherever this life may take him.

It is what we all work for right?

For the love of our families.

So here’s to not losing my mind before May of 2014 and being able to keep my eyes from filling with too many tears before then.

Today marks SEVEN years that me and my old man have been hitched.

Always crazy to look back and see how much life has changed.  Can't help but be proud that we are still madly in lurve!  Life ain't always easy, but having someone that puts up with my biotchness awesome personality sure does make it all worth while!

Happy Anniversary to the best hubby, friend, daddy, partner, handyman, mechanic, dirt maker, short people loving man I could convince to marry me!  I think we rock and can't wait to see what life holds for our future!

We spend most of our time like this...cracking up!

It's rare but occasionally we can be serious.

Off to shed a few tears while watching our wedding dvd...YES it's that good!

COWboys, BOOTS and HATS

CAT-5’s love of boots has been well documented.  Her style is beyond her years and well, boots were just a must have for her wardrobe.

I have always loved cowboy boots, but never actually owned a pair. Once I hit up pinterest for inspiration for my sis’ upcoming nuptials, I FELL in LOVE with these boots.  It was one of my first pins.  You know it’s good when you PIN it, right.  But poor me it was a broken pin, just a pic and no FYI on how to order them.

Then last year when we finally upgraded CAT-5 to the real deal cowgirl boots from the one and only Horse Town, I spotted them…and music played and a huge white light glowed all around them.  Unfortunately it was too close to Christmas.

Whomp, Whomp Whooomp!

As always MIMI saved the day.  (proof that it pays to be a good daughter, no matter your age) She swooped in and ordered me a brand spankin new pair and they just came in!!

TO
DIE
FOR!!

I'm in love and let me tell you (close your ears adam) these will not be the last pair.  I mean really they are the best.   And I am pretty sure I need a black pair, and a brown pair and anything else in between.

Now I just need a cowboy to ride in and take me away to his ranch (maybe MM is avail).  Such a debate, Christian or Kenny?  The only thing about cowboys...they can NEVER take off their hats…Am I the only one that squirms every time Kenny or Tim remove their hats…um NO SIR!

Off to pin my next pair!

Disclaimer . For those of you judging wondering, I do know that Christian, Edward, MM, Kenny and Tim are either not real or not attainable.  It’s just fun to pretend but I am aware that I live in reality, the gtown, and not in Seattle, in the Penthouse of Escala.  I mean I think it goes without saying; I wouldn’t trade the hubs in for all the cowboy hats in the world.
