50 Shades

Okay ladies, I have finally finished the 50 Shades series!  I mean seriously, it was awesome!
I. LOVED. IT.

Let me just state this first.  I jumped into reading this series without hearing much about it. AS IN I HAD NOT HEARD IT CALLED MOMMY PORN!  Needless to say when I got to Christian's little secret I was more than S.H.O.C.K.E.D!  I was even considering not continuing because I just couldn't believe that it went there, and there and then YES, even there!  BUT I continued and let me just say, I don't regret it!

Listen ladies, don't get your panties in a wad...underneath all the kinky funkery, there is an AWESOME love story!!

maybe I will get this for mothers day
You can find it here on etsy.

or maybe this

I am super excited to hear that Hollywood has now bought the rights and can't wait to see it as a movie.  Not sure exactly how they will pull it off, but I'm just hoping they don't ruin it like they did the sex scene in Twilight.  I mean let's get real ladies, we were all hoping Twilight would have been rated X for that ONE scene, am I right?

So who would be your Christian Grey?

After a quick google search of Anastasia Steele , I have to say that I am in LOVE with the idea of Alexis Bledel playing the part.

Build A MAN

Whenever life slows down in just the least, I immediately download a new book to the kindle.  While I am in school I am trying to avoid starting a series because I just really don't have time.  So last time I went straight to amazon and downloaded one of their kindle editions, it was like two dollars and in my opinion was totally worth it.

I picked Build A Man.  A really cute book about a receptionist/wanna be tabloid reporter that currently works in a plastic surgery clinic.  When a new male client comes in for the works, she knows this is her chance to go undercover and write a really juicy tabloid column.  Of course things end in a mess of love.  I really enjoyed it; super easy to read, not emotionally draining and entertaining all at the same time...just my style!

This time, I went to one of my fav websites chicklitisnotdead and went with their latest recomendation.  So far so good!  I love a good book!

And since I don't have a picture of my book, I think I will just include one of cat-5 becausse she is so cute!

Off to find my kindle!

the HUNGER Games

So I jumped on the band waggon and decided to read the Hunger Games trilogy.  {This seriously came highly recommended from a GUY at work}

The Hunger Games Trilogy

I wanted to finish it before the movie comes out this month! I have to say this was a great series. I think these books will make for an awesome movie. Some are saying it's the new Twilight, but I have to say the 'love' story in this books doesn't compare to the LOVE in Twilight. For me the love story isn't the main story line here. With all that said, I do have to say I recommend it. I think it's worth all the hype,  definitely pick up  the first book before the movie premiers!!  They are a very easy read and you can get the entire trilogy on Amazon for pretty cheap!

The HELP

I haven’t always loved reading, in fact in school I would always get the low down from my older sis on whatever book I was supposed to be reading at the time.  There were a few here and there but for the most part "I was not a READER"...until Twilight came along.  My hubby was working nights and I had some time to kill.  I LOVED Twilight, the whole saga, the drama of it all…wonderful!  After I finished that series it was on, I was all over any good chick-lit that I could find.
I read for fun, I like my books like I like my magazines; easy to read and a little trashy.  So don’t be looking here for anything that’s going to win any literary prizes.  But if you’re a girl and like an easy read then follow along as I review the some of the best chick-lit I can find.

My first book of 2012, is The Help.  I am a little late on this one so if you haven’t read it yet, it is a MUST read.  It took me all of four days, I devoured this one.  Reading late into the night, at lunch and any other break I had in between!  It was fantastic.  I shed a few tears, but totally worth it.  I am half way through the movie and its good, but not nearly as good as the book (they never are).
The Help = A+
